Hip, Zip & Healthy Fun – Episodes 21 & 22
This episode opens to find Freddy leading his exercise group in "toe touches" and other exercises. He is wearing his shirt with the "F" on it (F for Freddy) and black stretch pants. He also has on a bandanna. Gabriel and Abigail have on sweatbands and Abigail has on sneakers for the exercise session. Jotasha has on a sweatshirt over her uniform and a sweatband. Cyclic is simply exercising and his lights are flashing to the beat. Kitzy Kat has on tennis shoes and a "Superman" sweat outfit. An upbeat little exercise song leads the friends along to a fun program. Chad has tennies on all his feet. Gabriel & Abigail, Kitzy Kat, Jotasha, Cyclic and Chad (who's moving all his legs) groove to the words and beat. Grampa C is exercising on his front porch as he follows along with his telescope. The Glorps are exercising in the treetops, glorping as they touch their toes and imitate the group.
After the group finishes their exercise program, they decide to have a "healthy" picnic. Each one of them is to bring a food that they feel contributes to being healthy. The party takes place beneath the shade tree in the picnic area. Freddy brings baked apples and tells why apples are healthy. Jotasha brings a variety of vegetables, including a potato pie. Cyclic bring some strawberry yogurt. Gabriel and Abigail bring some whole-wheat muffins. Kitzy Kat brings orange juice and Chad brings a pitcher of milk for them to drink.
This show focuses on exercise and nutrition with a lot of fun and games that aid in getting children out of their chairs and moving. Lots of Gabriel's exercise jokes and pranks. Cyclic teaches a fun-filled lesson through his blue screen on the daily requirements of a good food balance and why we need to eat and exercise to maintain our health.
Moral and Value for Episodes 21 – 22 - Hip, Zip & Healthy Fun -
This episode deals with good nutrition, but also stresses cooperation, team effort, care, fun, motivation, initiative and responsibility for our bodies and minds. A subject that can be dull to children will be made into a fun-filled episode (with music, jokes and animation) and will be written with the emphasis on encouraging the children (and adults) who are watching at home to participate.
