You’re Only As Old As You Think – Episodes 25 - 26
Morning scene. The sun rises over the forest trees. Birds begin to sing. The Land of I forest friends begin their morning routine. Grampa is enjoying his Granola breakfast while looking through his telescope and writing his latest book. Suddenly, he sees a horse and a cow. Grampa C thinks his eyes are deceiving him, and he looks again. Sure enough—a horse and a cow, pulling a red barn camper is coming down the road into the Land of I forest. Gabriel and Abigail take to the air zooming toward the visitors. Chad heads down the tree to participate in the excitement. Grampa as usual, is warning him about the dangers of going too fast and reminds him to be careful. Cyclic, Kitzy Kat and Jotasha venture out of their saucer home to see what's happening. Freddy lumbers out from his house to hear what all the noise is about. A new adventure in the Land of I forest!
Ned the Horse and Gertie the Cow are senior citizens. They have traveled all over the world and have stickers on their camper that attest to their adventures. There's the Leaning Tower of Pisa sticker, the Grand Canyon, the Alaska Highway or Bust, the Pyramid sticker etc. (Seven Wonders of the World) Ned and Gertie have heard about the Land of I forest and have decided to check it out. The little friends are fascinated by their new visitors and plan a picnic to celebrate.
Grampa C has finally found guests his own age to talk with.
The picnic is held under the shade tree, with lots of good food to eat.
Instead of Cyclic teaching with his blue screen, Ned and Gertie get to tell their special stories about the wonders of the world that they've visited. Cyclic utilizes his blue screen to follow along and show some of the places that Ned and Gertie have been to. Ned and Gertie are typical "snowbirds" who have retired from farm life and have set out to see the world. We enjoy the fun and wisdom of these senior citizens and also are happy to see Grampa C enjoying his visitors.
Moral and Value for Episodes 25 – 26 - You’re Only As Old as You Think
The lessons will be multiple. Respect for elders and the enjoyment of their wisdom. The recognition that Grampa C needs to have friends his age. The wonderful gift of common sense that abounds in the senior generation. These episodes are global, encompassing and bringing home the uniqueness of our world through the eyes of Ned and Gertie.
