Apples, Apple Pie and Taffy - Episodes 7 & 8

This is a fall episode with lots of colorful foliage. The entire forest community sets out to pick apples. Freddy is thrilled to make apple pies, apple pancakes, apple turnovers, apple cider, baked apples, applesauce, candy apples. . .

The Land of I friends soon tire of all the APPLE food, but don't have the heart to tell Freddy. Even the Glorps are tired of apples. This episode revolves around fun in the kitchen as well as some history on Johnny Appleseed along with other apple stories-- where the apple originated from, the recipe for making apple cider, the fun of bobbing for apples, how an apple a day keeps the doctor away. The friends decide to have a big fall picnic and old-fashioned taffy pull.

Moral and Value for Episodes 7 & 8 – Apples, Apple Pie and Taffy
The concept is one of community togetherness, of celebrating the season's change, and that you can have too much of a good thing. Lots of music at the fall festival with all of the friends playing instruments. The lessons are based upon community effort and teamwork.
